John Connelly is the front man, guitarist and principal composer of the thrash metal band from New York Nuclear Assault. His voice voice is known for being aggressive but with high notes.
He was formerly a vocalist of the thrash metal band Anthrax. He sung for them in the beginning of 1980s before the band released anything officially (around 1982).
After he left Anthrax, he formed (in 1983) the band Nuclear Assault, soon to join him the bassist Danny Lilker (formerly guitar of Anthrax).

In 2002 he reformed Nuclear Assault, together with Danny Lilker.
